Meet Naomi Joy | Music Educator, Author, Speaker & Recording Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Naomi Joy and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Naomi Joy, why did you pursue a creative career?
The Spring Semester of my 1st year in college, I was studying journalism and I just had this inner longing and desire to play my saxophone. I decided at that moment that I would change my major to music. I felt called to pursue music and making that change answered a cry within my heart.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Performing on my instrument, sharing my testimony, and ministering to others is how I water people with the love of God and share Joy with the world. I’m equally blessed to share and feel that it’s both my responsibility and assignment to give back to people the medicinal sounds and prophetic messages that have also brought healing and breakthrough to me.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
God gets the Glory for my life and everything that I have. I also honor my parents for the ministry that they demonstrated and led our family into. I thank God for meeting so many people on my journey that have assisted me with sharing my story and music with the world. Those people include Tarsha Campbell, Dominionhouse Publishing, Jarvis Brown, Music Producer, Ron Jenkins, Music Producer, as well as my professors from my Alma mater Florida A&M University: Dr. Julian E. White, Dr. Shelby Chipman, Dr. James, Mr. Diron Holloway, and my current employer Orange County Public Schools.
