We had the good fortune of connecting with Natalie Thomas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Natalie, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Memories by Nat Photography was founded on the basis that I enjoy capturing images that preserves the moment. Whether it’s a milestone birthday, a commemorative moment like a graduation or family pictures, the memories from the moment is not to be forgotten.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The story in photos is one of the main reason I love photography so much. I use to take pictures with disposable camera and print them at a local pharmacy store. I would place the printed images in album books and every so often I would share the images with family and friends. It’s the stories I shared about the photos that helped recall so memorable moments in my life. And for that, I want to be the reason that through photos captured by me, that families are able to tell their stories behind the photos.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My crowd of friends are hard working, parents and business owners so if we get an opportunity for a weekend get away, it would definitely be a time for relaxation! Finding a really good Airbnb, movies to catch up on, our favorite foods that can be door dashed and wine is our idea of a awesome get away.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost, I have to dedicate my husband for believing in my abilities and my passion to encourage me to pursue a career in photography.

Secondly, my mentor, my momma bear Dr. Tomaiya Colvin the leader and founder of The Momentum Mastermind program has push my business in a direction I never knew could go.
