We had the good fortune of connecting with Natasha Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Natasha, do you disagree with some advice that is more or less universally accepted?
Over the past few months I have researched, read articles, attended webinars and the like, for new and up-and-coming entrepreneurs like myself. Everyone has dubbed themselves as coaches and consultants for those new to business ownership and throw out terms like, “hacks” to starting your business, or a quick way to gain followers or convert to sales and I can tell you being a business owner is hard work, late nights, early mornings and creating tons of visually appealing content on a daily basis! This life of entrepreneurship is not for the faint of heart!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The ishlifees t-shirt brand was birthed simply from the fact that we all experience moments in life where we are not 100% ourselves! There are times in life where we need to “boss-up”, that’s a Boss-ish moment, or when you are enjoying times with friends and “go all out”, that may be a moment where you are being Extra-ish! We have t-shirts that allow you to express yourself without necessarily saying anything at all, but your clothes are saying it for you, so to speak!

Nowadays our clothes say so much about our personality and we can represent ourselves on so many different levels, depending on our mood!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I had family in town, we would definitely start on the Southside of Houston with:

Breakfast @ The Breakfast Klub
A visit to the Bisong Art gallery
Lunch @ Lucille’s
A snack at any of the local food truck spots in Houston
A private dinner catered by a black chef!
Houston has so many just check Instagram!

Saturday – a fun day of fishing or hanging at the beach in Galveston!

Sunday – shopping at the Premium Outlets or a vintage market in Downtown Houston

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate this shout out to everyone starting and striving for growth in their businesses. It is certainly not done alone, although at times it can feel as though everything rests on your shoulders, which is the reality!

I recently purchased the book titled, No One Succeeds Alone: Learn Everything You Can from Everyone You Can by Robert Reffkin, the CEO of Compass, the largest independent real estate brokerage in the U.S.

I repeat this mantra in all that I do! Learn Everything You Can from Everyone You Can!

I am constantly learning from those experienced and others still new to marketing themselves, their brand and their products.
