We had the good fortune of connecting with Nelson Negron and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nelson, what do you attribute your success to?
I feel the single most important factor behind our success is our faith. Everything we do is because we believe in Jesus. From the care we have for our clients to the work we do in our community, it all comes from the fact that this isn’t just a job or career but a calling. We believe we were called to meet people where they are in their financial lives and help them get to where they want to be. Whether you are just starting out and have very little or you’ve done a great job to get to where you are and just need a little extra help, you deserve to be treated with respect and care.

What should our readers know about your business?
The world of Financial Planning and be cold and scary. There’s a ton of information which can make things extremely confusing. What we do is make people’s financial lives easy. We filter out the noise and help people discern what is actually useful. We also want to know what’s important to you and your family. What are your values and beliefs and incorporate those into the financial plan? Are there things that you’re passionate about that we can elevate and are there areas that you want to avoid? We do this without having to sacrifice how successful someone is in reaching their financial goals. We want to ensure that the legacy you leave behind is one you’d be proud of.

Many people believe that they have to sacrifice their values to have a successful financial plan. This is simply not true. You can have your cake and eat it too.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m pretty laid back so most of our time would be spent at the house catching up. I would be sure to stop by a few places throughout the week as well. We would for sure have to head down to Galveston and have dinner at Rudy & Paco’s. The food there is simply on point every single time. Since I’m a bit of an adrenaline junkie we head out to Angleton and race some go-karts at MSR Houston. Last but not least we’d end the week at LifePoint Church in League City. My family and I have been attending LifePoint for over four years now and I can’t tell you just how much Pastor Josh and LifePoint have been a blessing to me and my family. Its LifePoint is a God-honoring and Biblically sound church and is something that is truly needed in today’s world.
