We had the good fortune of connecting with Cameron Palmore and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cameron, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
Almika’s sights are set on disrupting how electricity is produced and consumed in today’s energy markets, Almika has created Texas’ first fully integrated solar development, grid power optimizer/supplier, and lending company. By leveraging and creating our algorithmic technology, we’re laser-focused on creating the absolute best possible, sustainable energy solution for consumers in Texas now and throughout the country soon. Simply put, our platform will be the energy ecosystem where energy will become a symbiotic relationship rather than a constant strain on infrastructure.
Today, I’m most proud of the team and people that have been a part of the company. The company was founded about 3 months before COVID. Though Almika found success quickly, it was very scary to have things change in a blink of an eye. As an entrepreneur, dealing with uncertainty can oftentimes be countered with just more effort. But with macro factors like COVID, it was/is a scary time. Figuring out ways to continue increasing sales and growth was all done by the team. They did and continue to do an incredible job! As a leader, I think overcoming it was just a result of our approach and mindset. As with quitting, committing to success no matter what the best tool can be to overcome any challenge.
Setting out to start a business that essentially integrates multiple businesses into a platform is no easy feat. Especially being in an industry that’s still in its infancy, like renewable energy. To be able to accomplish the launch and integration of all our business lines while growing revenues north of $50MM within 2 years is something I’m super proud of.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

Today, I’m most proud of the team and people that have been a part of the company along the way. The company was founded about 3 months before COVID. The team at Almika is also so bought-in to what we’re trying to accomplish, that COVID (and other) challenges we face are a non-issue. It’s truly amazing.
Setting out to start a business that essentially integrates multiple businesses into a platform is no easy feat. Especially being in an industry that’s still in its infancy, like renewable energy, is even more difficult. To be able to accomplish the launch and integration of all our business lines while growing revenues north of $20MM within 2 years is something I’m super proud of.
Jeff Bezos once said that even when his company was a global powerhouse, he still feels like he’s in his beginning stages where they had a warehouse and a couple of delivery trucks.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
What a great question! I love my city and especially what we have to offer. Let’s say my friend would be coming from the airport and I’d be picking up from the airport.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Having a family and being in the entrepreneurial world can be super stressful at times. To balance that, having a support network is the most valuable asset anyone could have. To this day my inner network consists of multiple mentors, advisors, business partners, and even some employees who all share this relationship where we support each other along the way of achieving our own individual goals. The two mentors both give me incredible advice without filters, but I’d have to say my wife deserves the biggest shoutout. Beyond my aforementioned belief system, she’s had the unwavering support of my business goals and initiatives throughout the years. Fortunately, those businesses were successful which has made the hard times easier, but nevertheless, she has been there through it all.
