Hi Olubusola, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Starting my own business came from a deep love for people and a desire to create meaningful experiences. While I have a background in pharmacy and currently work in the biopharmaceutical field, my passion for creating joy led me to build Davina Photobooth, a business focused on helping people celebrate life’s special moments and create lasting memories. In both worlds, my purpose remains the same: to positively impact lives.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Davina Photobooth Rental is built on professionalism, creativity, and a genuine love for people. What truly sets us apart is the overall experience we create for our clients, not just providing a service, but helping them create lasting memories during their most important moments. I am most proud of how far we have come through passion, determination, consistency, and the grace of God.

The journey was not easy from the beginning. Building a business required patience, resilience, and learning through challenges. With consistency and faith, we were able to enter the market, grow steadily, and reach a diverse range of clients. Each challenge taught me discipline, perseverance, and the importance of believing in the vision even when the results were not immediate.

The biggest lesson I have learned is that you can achieve whatever you set your mind to. Never give up on your dreams, and always believe that you too can make a difference.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
There are definitely so many fun activities and amazing places to explore in Houston. We will plan to visit Market Square Park, Discovery Green, Hermann Park, the Houston Botanic Garden, and the River Oaks District, perfect spots to stroll, relax, and capture beautiful photos.

We will also check out exciting attractions like Downtown Aquarium, Kemah Boardwalk, Space Center Houston (NASA), and the Museum District for a mix of entertainment, learning, and adventure.

For dining, I will treat them to some of my favorite spots, including Bungalow, Bloom & Bee at The Post Oak Hotel, and Cocody Restaurant, for an unforgettable food experience.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
A special shoutout to my husband for being my constant support and greatest encourager. He believes in my passion, pushes me to pursue my goals, and stands by me every step of the way. He is truly the backbone of Davina Photobooth, and I would not have been able to achieve this growth without his unwavering support.
