We had the good fortune of connecting with Patricia Martin and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Patricia, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
Great question! I educate couples, families and business owners about how to properly prepare for homeownership and obtain commercial properties for their businesses.
I believe there’s a lot of vague information about homeownership when there are so many other factors that come into place. Such as how they’re filing their taxes to reflect how much they’re making or are they focused on getting the maximum return so they’re writing off major amounts of purchases which then brings their income lower.
Their credit score, I want to make sure they’re educated on how to know what their debt to income ratio is before speaking to a lender.
I feel passionate and obligated to teach them how to come prepared when they’re thinking of homeownership or commercial properties, instead of being turned away.
What should our readers know about your business?
I’m very particular with whichever field I decide to pursue. I was an entrepreneur for a little over 5 years now and it took me a while to find my calling. I’m truly proud of how hard I go with real estate and I’m really excited to see where I’ll be 5 years from now. I naturally love to educate myself and those around me and with my entrepreneurial background, I knew real estate wasn’t going to just kick off right away. However, I believe that with my background and knowledge in marketing, it’s not much different from starting another business. I’ve built the discipline needed to succeed in this career and I honestly believe that I’ll go very far in real estate!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m not a club girlie so I love a good vibe and great music. One of my favorite spots are Prospect Park, Black Wall Street, Kiss, se7ven, Post Oak to name a few. The art galleries here are also one of a kind.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a very special shoutout to Keleisha Anderson, Broker owner of The Vibe Brokerage. I can tell she really believes in me and all of her agents. But I’d like to point out that she has supported me in ways no other broker has and truly believes in my potential as I continue to grow in real estate. Specifically, she doesn’t hold me back on anything that I want to do in this industry. Thats one of the things that motivates me to continue to give real estate and The Vibe Brokerage my all. Trust me, her character is rare in this industry and she deserves all the positive things that’s coming her way!
