We had the good fortune of connecting with Keisha Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Keisha, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I have always found joy in crafting and taking the plunge to start my own business marked a major milestone for me. The idea of blending my passion with the opportunity to generate extra income was truly exciting.
Witnessing the evolution of my work since launching my business in 2015 makes my heart smile. Engaging in business and decorating courses, networking with fellow holiday decorators, and honing my craft are constant efforts to deliver the best to my clients.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I specialize in event planning for all occasions and holiday home decor. What sets me apart from others is the fact that I am just as big on all the other holidays as I am with Christmas. I am most excited about this year’s trends.
It has not been easy, but I am passionate about what I do so working through the challenges and seeing the final product makes it all worth it.
My hope is to one day become a household name for all things holiday!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family and friends have been huge supporters of my business and I truly appreciate them.
My decorator bestie Dee Arnold of DAA Interiors has taken me under her wing, and taught me so much about the administrative side of business as well as decorating techniques so that I am at the top of my game.
