We had the good fortune of connecting with Polly Acioli and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Polly, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
When I decided to start my own business, I saw an opportunity to create something truly distinctive. I wanted to offer a luxury photography experience where each client felt unique. My thought process was: if I could combine art, exclusivity, and a personal touch, I’d be creating not just images, but eternal memories for families. This desire to tell authentic stories was the foundation of my business.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business is built around delivering luxury, personalized photography experiences for families and mothers. One challenge I overcame was finding my niche in a competitive market. By focusing on a curated, high-touch experience—like my exclusive client closet—I set myself apart. I’ve learned that staying true to a vision of excellence builds trust. What excites me most is seeing how the stories I capture become treasured legacies for my clients.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I were to showcase my favorite spots, we’d start with a walk through a park that overlooks downtown—that view is truly inspiring. Then, we’d head to the farm in Angleton, where the glasshouse and magical scenery create a unique atmosphere. These places reflect the kind of beauty I love capturing for my clients.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d love to give a shoutout to my family, whose unwavering support has been the foundation of my journey. I also want to recognize Deborah Koch, whose mentorship and guidance gave me the confidence to elevate my business to where it is today. I’m truly grateful for both.
