We had the good fortune of connecting with Saurabh Ahuja and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Saurabh, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I think success can be achieved when we take first step towards the accomplishment of our main goal. People thought about success but never ever take a step towards it, that’s what the main problem is. I think we must take a first step towards our goal and convert it into a series of steps to accomplish it and it must be in a right direction. Direction is a very important aspect which we have to focus on.
I can proudly say that i am a winner of 25 Indian and 32 international awards and it’s all possible because of my hard work but in a right direction. I have a good knowledge about the film industry. I know that Bollywood trying of converting old concepts into a new bottle will never ever work. A new and a different concept will influence the audience to reach the theaters and that’s the truth.
These things influence me to direct a film called “The Guilt”. It’s a drama based film with a brilliant story that engages you till the end. I have won 45 awards across the world for my film till now and the main success behind my film is creating a different story and executing it in such a way that people will remain engaged with the film till the end, As you know, it has already been released on the OTT platform MX Player and getting rave reviews across India. So, the most important factor about my film success is its execution, direction, brilliant performances of my actors and a twisting story line. My hard work and luck is also an important factor behind my success but above all my Guru ji.
Thanks to my Guru ji and its blessings!
Jai Guru ji!
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I have started my writing journey in 2012, when i started writing poems, concepts, short films etc. I have worked with many companies as a Freelancer writer and developed many concepts for them as a side business. I am an MBA (Finance) and i worked with many companies as a manager (Permanent job). But later on, the biggest risk i have taken is of changing the industry. I have changed my industry from Finance to Writing and that is the biggest risk of my life i took. I think any person having 5 years of experience into the world of Finance will never ever try to change the industry for becoming a writer. But i thought it was the best decision of my life. I have overcome many challenges coming my way and my biggest strength during that time was my parents who helped me achieve what i am today. I was having full confidence that i can become a good writer and i just followed what my hearts says to me. The biggest lesson i have learnt along my way is patience. Patience and confidence are the 2 most important things which motivates you to remain engaged in your journey till you achieve your goal.
I want to tell this world that if you are having a talent, it will be recognized someday. I believe that i am the best writer and i will prove the same in the coming years. Don’t worry, you will get great concepts and film stories from my side and that’s a promise.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I want to take my best friend to Ladakh. Currently, we both are very busy in our lifes but i think the day is not far away, when i will visit Ladakh with my best friend. I know one of the best restaurants and hang out places there. The first thing which attracts me towards that place is the peace and the highest motorable road in the world – Khardung la pass. There are many Monasteries, where you can see the Buddhists praying day and night. Gurdwara pathar sahib, Nubra valley, Pangong Lake and Magnetic hill are few of the places where you would love to visit.
Hopes are quite high and the time is very near. Ladakh, we are coming!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to Thank my Guru ji! Jai Guru ji! I want to thank my family (My Father, mother, aunty and brother) and friends for their love & blessings and supporting me always. Thanks for being in my Life.
I want to thanks my Teachers, lecturers for making me a nice human being.
My biggest inspiration of becoming a writer is none other than Mr. Raju Hirani (Director of Munnabhai M.B.B.S, Lage raho Munnabhai, PK, 3 idiots, Sanju).
