Meet Shaneese Lowery | Multi-Industry Business Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Shaneese Lowery and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shaneese, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
So just like many Americans the common next move after high school or college is to get a good job and be great right. So that’s the vibe I was on until this guy in the music industry asked me to work at his music store. This job is actually where I discovered I had hustle in me. Not only did I work at the store, but he use to through huge parties that we would work including artists like Nicki Minaj, Wayne, Jadakiss, Busta Rhymes and so many more. This entire era opened my eyes to creating my own lane and boss up.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
So after 2 years of living in that fast lane that all ended once I became pregnant by my at the time boyfriend. I went back to corp America during my pregnancy, but after I gave birth I was like there is NO way Im going back to work. So that’s when my jewelry business “She is Valicious” was born in 2013.

This was the best decision I ever made.However, I wasn’t even set up properly and I was just selling my items at events. That’s slowly ended and I ended back in corp America for another 3 years.

I finally decided to relaunch in 2016 self taught myself how to set up a business properly and I hit the ground running created my website by myself and all. By the time 2020 came right before the pandemic I quit my job and went full time as an entrepreneur.

This leap of faith has lead me to open several other businessess along the way such as my health bar, airbnb, hosting marketplaces for other business owners and now V-Marketing which introduced my digital products teaching others how to build business credit and start their businesses the right way.

This journey is NOT for the weak. You really have to BET it ALL on yourself. Carry the load and have an overload of faith. I went the long route because I didn’t ask for help I did everything and learned everything. that’s one thing I wished I did different.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My best friend actually lives here. We love a good fine dining, art show but mostly traveling.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to give a huge shout out to each and every soul that has been apart of my journey whether it was bad, good or seasonal. All of my experiences Is what has molded me into reaching this higher version of myself. I could not have done this without the higher source and my faith.
