We had the good fortune of connecting with Sharon Brumfield and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sharo, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I believe there is no opportunity without risk. Risk is required to get out of your comfort zone. We must get out of our comfort zone in order to experience success. When I looked at risk as part of the journey and not me loosing something, the more I embraced taking risks.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

Challenges are a part of life in general. Challenges are surely in the start up and are seen all the way to the point you feel you have arrived. The idea of feeling alone as you grow your business is a challenge that could make or break you. Changing your beliefs will help you channel your energy on thoughts that move you forward instead of causing you to stop, give in or give up. Changing your beliefs, behaviors and the way you see barriers will help you channel your focus
I would like the world to know that taking care of ourselves is a must. Getting help from a coach, counselor, therapist etc. is not a sign of weakness. It says that you take your mental health seriously. I’m called to those who need the push to reach the potential that’s ready to burst forth. I’m here for the individual who needs assistance assessing their self limiting beliefs. I’m here for the one who is tired of being led by their rollercoaster emotions. It’s time to heal.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The lakefront is my favorite spot in the city. Whether it’s Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall, a trip to the lakefront is on my agenda. Watching the frozen lake, the sunshine or feeling the warm water on my toes or the cool breeze as I take a brisk walk all bring comfort, peace and joy to my heart.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have 2 groups of people I would like to shout out. My family (husband, daughter and 2 sons) are my hype team. They help me brainstorm ideas, they keep me up to date on technology and social media and they tell me to Go! Go! Go! My Pastor is one who encourages me to keep going. He keeps me on track not only with encouragement but with correction and accountability.
