Meet Skye Sanchez | Founder of the Brunch Party Market

We had the good fortune of connecting with Skye Sanchez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Skye, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
The Brunch Party creates opportunities for local residents and local small business owners to come together in one place. The vibrant and joyful setting not only uplifts the spirits of the community but gives small business owners the environment to thrive.

What should our readers know about your business?
My small business journey started with the love of skincare, then developed into the love of helping people, which evolved into providing a platform for small businesses to flourish. I have been a esthetician for 15 years, and decided to go completely solo opening my facial studio four years ago. Once I got my feel for the small business world I opened a wellness facility for other like-minded providers. This was a beautiful way to join the feeling of working in a spa environment and providing a place for other spa entrepreneurs to build their businesses. Needing a new creative outlet my daughter (my muse) and I stated crafting, this became my floral resin business. The artisan world is like no other. Meeting other small business moms like myself was becoming more than just a hobby. Artisan markets became a since of joy and community for my daughter’s and I. We quickly fell in love with attending markets on the weekends and became good friends with multiple vendors. Making these connections propelled me into hosting my monthly Brunch Party Market at Galveston Bay Brewing. Then quickly turned into a second monthly market at Seabrook Cheese Co. Building a community through small businesses brings immense joy and pride. By creating a platform that empowers small business owners to reach broader audiences, crafting purposeful marketing strategies, and celebrating unique products all contribute to a vibrant local economy has been the highlight of my business venture so far. Being a multi owner mom does have it’s challenges but they are overshadowed with the reward of hard work. I have learned to integrate vs find balance. I encourage others to put the fear aside and unlock that positive energy within. Especially women in business. Women unleashing the confidence to chase their dreams and showcase their talents is the agenda and I’m here for it.
I believe that is what sets me and my businesses apart from others. I provide a positive uplifting environment whether it be at the spa or artisan market. I love supporting other small businesses and believe everyone one can be successful while staying humble and hungry.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Our bestie visit day one would include coffee and breakfast at Tormenta Coffee and a day in Galveston walking the strand where we would have to stop and get matching bracelets or necklaces from Forever & Co permanent jewelry.
Day two would start off with coffee from Summer moon and delicious tacos from Parlor Doughnuts then day trip to Houston for thrift shopping!
Day 3 bottomless mimosas and brunch at Seabrook Cheese Co then home for a cozy movie night.
Day 4 Iron works for small shopping and a walk around discovery green.
Day 5 girls day pedicures at Sugar Spa Kemah and facials at Christians Skin Care and Massage in Kemah then end the day with yummy fajitas at Estebans!
Day 6 start with a tea from Healthy Crave Seabrook and Pilates at MVMT Studio.
Day 7 fishing, lunch, drinks and kayaking at Galveston Bay Brewing.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
To my dad; without your confidence in me I would never have jumped in the pool of entrepreneurship. Oh and can’t forget that constant reminder of “my” big dream of a condo in Miami and sailing around the world. wink wink
To my mom; you have always been the rock and woman I admire. Thank you for always having my back.
