We had the good fortune of connecting with Skyler Denny and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Skyler, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I realized the majority of CFP® Professionals who specialize in comprehensive financial planning only work with current retirees or people nearing retirement. Knowing the important financial decisions that truly build wealth are made while earning an income throughout our careers. From the beginning of our careers my wife, Jordan, and I began implementing the strategies I learned in our own life. This allowed us to travel and have a great deal of enjoyment in our daily lives while saving more than we could have thought possible. All of this, by simply using our income as a tool and being intentional with our finances. Making sound financial decisions from the beginning of our careers empowered me to founding Legacy Financial Designs before the age of 30. I believe with financial guidance family-oriented professionals and small business owners can use their income as a tool to design the life for their family that truly calls to them.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At Legacy Financial Designs, we guide family-oriented professionals and small business owners to make the most of their financial resources and design the life that truly calls to them. We believe that by helping you manage your income and make sound decisions throughout your career, you can experience the financial freedom we all desire later in life—with the peace of mind that helps you live fuller today. Guiding families to make sound financial decisions is what I do. Empowering families to design the life that truly calls to them is who I am.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Visit College Station for a football or baseball game. Including a night out at Northgate. Houston Rodeo is my favorite activity in the city.
