We had the good fortune of connecting with Busayo Agbesanwa and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Busayo, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I had been inspired by watching my mom doing hair for my sister and I for years. It even got to the point that she would do hair for close family friends and neighbors. Then one day after a long days work my mom was unable to do my hair and I’ve been doing hair since. In my hair business I really try to focus on making my prices affordable and budget friendly because if you could do it yourself you wouldn’t seek to get it done.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I believe what sets me apart from other stylist is my drive to make myself not only budget friendly but personable to my clients as well as focusing on promotion of healthily hair because first hand I know how it is as a client when you take out a style and noticing damage to your hair. As a stylist, I am constantly learning and growing how to promote a good business atmosphere and strengthen my skill. I want the world to know that bussiestyles is here, it’s growing and expanding and has more to come in the future.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would say my favorite spot in Houston would have to be Sylvan beach in La Porte it’s close to Kemah. It’s in a nice little neighborhood and perfect place for a little picnic, to relax near the Galveston water and even go fishing.
