We had the good fortune of connecting with Stella Atuboyedia and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stella, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Wanting to see my designs come to life, I wanted to see what my ideas looked like outside my head, the need to make them tangible, to feel them, to see them on women while also hoping I could make a living off it.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I think what sets me apart is I always want the female form to look good, my brands DNA is built on creativity and passion, I don’t just design clothes, I craft experiences that make women feel confident, beautiful, young, feminine and empowered.
I always get so excited when I create a design, when a design that was once an idea comes to life exactly as I have pictured it in my head. I’ get excited when I see my designs on people, I’m happy that I have to do what I’m most passionate about for a living. I get excited when I wear my design and compliment pour in, it makes me say “ I did that”.
I was able to get to where I am today by being consistent, getting up no matter how many times I fall, taking risks and of course passion for what I do.
Getting to this point hasn’t been easy, I’ve had to go in blindly, make expensive mistakes and learn from them. I was able to overcome challenges because I “wanted” to, because of the passion and the zeal, because of the strength and happiness I get from designing and creating.
After these few years in business I’ve learned how to be a leader and a business woman, I’ve learned how to take risks, I’ve learned to be patient and I’ve also learned that we can do anything we put our mind to.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would definitely take them to nice fine dining restaurants, I love going to new places and trying out different foods. I would take her to coffe shops and I’ll also take her to art galleries or anything art related.
