We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylor Gray and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Taylor, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I didn’t think about it much I had got some money from selling my property I already had a mobile bartending business so I just said I’m moving to Houston and opening a bar and six months later I was here closing on a bar
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I own a lounge on the northwest side of Houston the name is last call hookah lounge when I got it I was very happy and ready for the world business has had it’s ups and downs and the downs well they came quick the bar I got was already a bar the person I got the bar from lied and made fake documents for the business leaving me at square one and when I called them for help they told me that I’m stupid and didn’t no anything about business and that’s why I got played I have never felt that hurt in my life I’m still putting the pieces back together and trying to make the best of the business
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love to eat so first stop would be blazing Kajun on the Northside seafood is fire and the vibe is always right second stop maybe atvs or jet skis I’m outdoorsy a pool party at sekai will always be top tier and for later byob at Zaza is always a vibe it’s small and intimate but turned up I like to be in places where I can see everything and for later strip club members only on the Northside I love the place the people they have good hookah the dancers are nice and the shots and drinks are reasonably Price after that the Waffle House is in the same lot for my hang over we going to have
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
