We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffany Wagner and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tiffany, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
I want my legacy to be that this business, my business, has made an impact on peoples lives. Not only for the people that have been clients but the people whose lives have been touched by the clients we serve.

Being able to change how someone lives, functions and feels in their space is an incredible feeling! It’s not something we take lightly and understand the magnitude of helping someone process the clutter that consumes them. When you love what you do, people feel that and trust the process which is incredibly important when you are working in the confines of personal spaces.

When organizing and decluttering the spaces that surround us, there tends to be a lot of excess “stuff” that gets removed. The “stuff” is a wide range from actual trash to brand new items in bags with tags and everything in between. But where does all that “stuff” go? Think of the old adage “one mans trash, is another mans treasure!”

We take the excess “stuff” from your space and give it a new life to live!

There is a whole world of volunteers, non-profits, charities and regular people just helping others, out there looking to make change and give back. These people support foster families and children, the homeless, Veterans programs, low income communities, teachers and educational programs, animal rescues and shelters and the list goes on. We work to re-home all our clients donations by putting them in the hands of those that need them most. We don’t take the easy route and stop at a big box donation center but by connecting with people in our community that support these local needs.

And what about the actual trash? We try to keep as much out of the landfill as possible. Sorting out items that can go into recycling as well as items that can go to textile recycling. Outside of traditional recycling (like your green trash can at home) there are textile recycling programs that turn old clothes and pillows (as tons of other items) into secondhand materials, keeping them out of the landfill!

So when people think of simply marvelous spaces, they think “the girl that always has donations in her car!”

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
This is who I’ve always been! Organized. It brings me a sense of calmness and control. Over time you hone your craft. Life gives you lessons and tasks that challenge your abilities.

Over the course of 15 years, I packed and unpacked 9 times and lived in 6 states, bought 5 homes all of which were different types of homes (condo, townhouse, single family, etc). Moving isn’t for the faint of heart. It takes a lot of time, coordination, structure and organization. Throw living in all different styles of home into the mix and it makes upsizing and downsizing even more thrilling.

But through all these trips and travels, you learn the tricks to streamline the process.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would beach and eat! The food options are endless here in Houston. We could eat our 3 meals a day and never repeat a food type. The Food Halls here are incredible and are so fun where everyone can get a little bit of something.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We can thank my late father-in-law for being a man of so many funny little sayings! On a daily basis he told someone, “You are simply marvelous, honey!” Little did I know that years later those words would find me when I needed direction and guidance.

When my life came to a crossroads my husband said to me “now is your chance, you’ll never have another opportunity like this, go do it!” I knew exactly what he was referring to. This. This business. This passion for creating a serene, orderly space and helping others to live that same life through organization.

simply marvelous spaces was born from a passion for organization, love for my family + the space we call home and that funny little saying, made up by a man near and dear to our hearts.
