We had the good fortune of connecting with Vachelle Mason and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Vachelle, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was my work ethics. Long story short i was an employee at Old Navy over 20 plus years, I have worked almost every position at Old Navy starting at the age 17. My last position was Assistant Merchandising Manager, when i say i was so proud of having this position is was everything to me. I will work over 12 hour shifts to make sure all my departments stayed up to par. After parting ways with the company , i realize all the hard work and drive i put into working Old Navy i can use to push my own brand out there. All the work ethics i have gracefully learned over the years have push me and i know its not even to my full potential yet.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m most proud of myself and my growth along this entrepreneur journey. I have learned to trust into my vision to its full potential and only gravity toward what’s best for my brand. I got where i am today professionally is being consistent and discipline everyday even on the days i don’t want to. It wasn’t easy but the more i practice it became a natural routine. The lessons i have learned along the way it to stay honest and humble. I want the world to know Blu’byNeneVachelle is something big and is growing every moment with all these ideas i have up my sleeve. Mid winter ill be dropping our Men’s body care Collection and a tribute to one of my favorite disney character’s .
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Our city is so fire. This is so funny because i just gave a run down on my stream live about the hottest places. I’m a huge bar hopper Midtown or Montrose is the place to go . Some of the bars have different theme where you can get some bomb pictures and videos. The nightlife is crazy especially on Richmond Ave. you’ll have a experience of your life, its just a good time waiting for you.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Man, these two lady’s have been supporting me when Blu’byNeneVachelle was just a vision , and will listening to everything i had to say . My ex co worker Nicole will always tell me that she got this feeling i’m going to make it. Still to this day she sends me uplifting video. which im so grateful for . My cousin Champale been my number one supporter since day one. When no one didn’t show up for my Juciy’s Collection photoshoot, she did and it turn out bomb. Thank yall so much for standing and still standing behind me .
