Hi Venessa, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?

Once I decided I wanted to fulfill my dream and open my own clothing boutique for women there was no stopping me. I wanted my boutique to be unique and make a statement. You know the quote “I am woman, hear me roar” that’s exactly what I want my clothes to say when women wear them. Sometimes our outfits speak louder than words.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Opening your own business id harder then I expected it to be. What helped me a lot was research from YouTube and TikTok. Believe it or not there’s a lot of people willing to share their experience and give you tips on how to start your business. There’s people out there that are rooting for you and you don’t even know it.

I want women to know they could come to me in my DMs, email etc and ask for fashion advice. I am here for you. If you like something on my website but don’t know what to pair it with, I got your back! Let me help you put an outfit together.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Houston museums are a must! There’s so many spots you can eat and drink in Houston. I love brunch. Snooze A.M is one of my favorite places to eat breakfast and have a mimosa. And you have to catch a movie at the Rooftop Cinema uptown!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I won’t lie there were a many ups and downs, plenty of times when I wanted to quit through the process but my family reminded me this is what I was meant to do. I’ve always had a passion for fashion, I’ve always been up to date with the new trends and teaching other women how to style and find their confidence. Friends and family have told me “You need to be in the fashion industry”. My family likes to call me their own personal fashion consultant lol it brings me so much joy when they come to me and trust me enough to give them fashion advice. But most of all I love when they call me for a last-minute fashion crisis lol I definitely wouldn’t be where I am today without them.
