Jamey Moore | Inspired Home Brewer

I purposely built the moniker “Inspired Ales” into my branding name because inspiration has always been at the forefront of anything I do, and quite frankly it has everything to do with who I am today. Of all the things that inspire Secret Beach, music is easily the most influential on who I am, and what my branding is about. All of my music influences are inspired by skateboarding, particularly skateboarding of the late 80’s and early 90’s. Punk, Thrash, Hardcore and Hip-Hop dominate my playlists, and this is a direct result of growing up in that era of skateboarding, and the people I’ve known through those years. Skateboarding of the late 80’s was dominated by punk and hardcore, as skateboarding was still sort of seen as thing outsider and troubled kids gravitated towards. The music that surrounded that scene was always so aggressive, to reflect that culture, and feed the energy. As I got older and into my teenage years, Hip-Hop started to have it’s own influence on skateboarding for the first time. Read more>>

In regards to I Need Some Dough, I’m inspired by the people that try my products. I love seeing photos of people sharing dessert or eating my rolls at their family dinner. After a particularly busy Thanksgiving week, my fiancé said, “Isn’t it crazy to think about how many Thanksgiving dinners you were “at” this year.” I hadn’t thought about it, but once he said it, I couldn’t get the notion out of my head. It’s an honor to serve people every day, and I’m encouraged and privileged to have the support, especially when people can get bread and baked goods from so many wonderful places in Houston. This is never lost on me, and I genuinely hope to keep sharing with people through the joy of carbs. Read more>>
