My decision to take photos mostly for free has been critical to my growth and recognition, and I think it’s important to have that mindset when first starting out as a photographer. By giving out photos to people for free, you really become endeared to them. People appreciate what you’re doing, they’ll share your work, you’ll make more connections, and as a photographer you’ll get more and more visibility (and paid work). Read more>>

The idea came to me a couple months after I was a stay at home mom. I bought my daughter some bows from Ross and as I looked at them I thought to myself, “I can do that”. I’ve always been a creative person and If I wanted to do something, I could learn to do it. The decision that contributed was that I could make bows, be able to stay home with my kids and make money! The idea of going back to work and leaving my daughter gave me anxiety so I found something that could be good for the family. Read more>>
