Why did you pursue an artistic or creative career?

Artists and creatives face innumerable challenges given that their career path often doesn’t come with a playbook, a steady paycheck or any form of safety net. It’s definitely not easy and so we asked a few of the artists and creatives we admire to talk to us about why they chose to pursue an artistic or creative career.

I feel like artistry found me more than I found it. Growing up, I was surrounded by music my mom played—artists like The Notorious B.I.G., Outkast, D’Angelo, and Lauryn Hill. Their music always made me feel something deeper, and I developed a strong connection to that emotion early on. Read More>>

I pursued a creative career because it allows me to operate where precision meets artistry. I am inherently structured (Type A personality)—drawn to order, flow, efficiency, and detail—yet creativity has always been a constant.
