We had the good fortune of connecting with Tracing Paces and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tracing, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
We all started because of different reasons. I remember being a high school kid and being enamored by all the legendary guitar players wanting to be like them to others.
As for Will, he feels that the career allows him to firsthand emulate the musical genius that He’s been raised on and entertained him more than anything else through life.
Alex would tell you that, he pursues an artistic career to be able to express himself in a creative way that’s comfortable and fun.
Jason would say that it allows Him to express his emotions, bring people together, and allow him to just have fun.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
One thing we all are able to acknowledge is our uncanny resemblance to the previous rock sounds and musicians that came before us and helped lay the groundwork for what was to come, there are not too many bands that pay tribute to the Led Zepplin, Jimi Hendrix’ etc… as fitting as we do. Additionally, our different playing styles, from a classical singer inspired by the great vocals of Steve Perry, to a hard-hitting drummer that idolizes the marvelous Niel Peart, and a guitar and bass combo that lends a lot of its works to funk and rhythmic sounds. it’s easy to say that Tracing Paces has a sound like no other
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Without a doubt, we would have to say BFE. This has been our hometown venue and one that has seen us through every stage of the band’s life.
This venue is responsible for some of the best onstage chemistry we have shared and some of the most intimate crowd interactions we could have hoped for.
Definitely check it out, especially if there’s a local houston band!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Someone we would all like to give a shout-out to is someone who has both seen us at our best and at our worst, someone who consistently strives to make us a better unit, and someone who we proudly have in our crazy Tracing Family… Xander Icaza.
One of the most talented people behind the glass, he has been instrumental in getting the best performance out of us and making us better each time. We are so thankful for all the work you do and for the great bond, we share between us.
Thank you, Xander.
