We had the good fortune of connecting with Maria Morgan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Maria, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I think it started when I learned to make cookies from my grandma. I first was marketing her cookies and selling them, then I started to learn how to make cookies. I develop my own style to make any type of cookies, any flavor. I’m always a student learning. My marketing and advertising skills needs some improvement, I have slack off with getting my business out there so I need much help. This is a process, always growing and changing.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I love God, truly not just saying to say it, the unconditional and agape love he as for us and his people, always love to help anybody in any-way I can. Helping comes in many forms-not just money. Flag Ambassador, Administrator, Reseaher, Sound, Media, Office worker, Helper, Customer Service, Security Officer, and the list goes on. I’m learning a new trade to add to my list, lol. Most of all my bakery business-“Heavenly Sweets Bakery”, I’m still learning the business and still growing. I want to have a 24 hour Bakery, it shall come to pass In Jesus Name!
There are, were and still many challenges to overcome. “Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” I thank God I’m still alive to tell my story, this is just the begin.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Texas as a whole is a great many places to visit. It depends on what the person wants to do. I can suggestion many places, but it’s all up to that person. They might want to rest, and watch a movie and get something to eat, or a home cook meal–I can cook, lol. To name a few places, Snow Bbq-there brisket is tender/good, chicken has flavor, and there sausage too, there museums, parks, different places to hang out, clubs, lounges, movies, and the list goes one. It is all up to that person/persons. Just chilling at the house and relaxing .
