We had the good fortune of connecting with Deborah T. Scott and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Deborah T., how does your business help the community?
As a licensed Real Estate Agent specifically an Apartment Locator, my role in the community is quite important as I make dreams come true!

Not everyone wants to be a homeowner. Not everyone can afford to purchase a home. Not everyone has the patience to go through the entire rigamarole of the home-buying process, and that is where I come in offering options that fits the needs and desires of individuals like you and I.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I have held a Texas Real Estate License for 17 years while working in a dual career capacity with the local government. The real estate industry has had it’s share of ups and downs and through those years I have worked with buyers, sellers, lessees, lessors, and investors. As they say in real estate, “only the strong survive”. And guess what, “I AM STILL HERE!!”

Texas is not just about putting buyers in homes but also about putting renters in apartments! There is a huge need for LUXURY apartment living with luxe amenities, posh common areas, inviting atmosphere, lavish decor, convenience, urban chic and so much more!

I have been truly blessed to align myself with the right brokers and colleagues, “agents in crime” so-to-speak. We all want the same thing, to assist our clients with their housing needs albeit a homeowner or a renter.

As cliche as this sounds, “patience is key but, time is of the essence”.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Having family who live in Illinois, Michigan, and Indiana, they visit enough. Texas is one of the BEST states to live in my opinion so; museums, Galveston Beach or Kemah Boardwalk, some popular staple restaurants, a nice massage or mani and pedi, and of course showing them Texas’ fabulous real estate-homes and apartments! Heeeey, I am an Apartment Locator and I just need to show them what they could afford in Houston!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My story is quite interesting but I will keep it simple.

Although I am a women in the real estate industry, my inspiration comes from the amazing women that I associate with on a daily basis. Women that are also in the real estate and mortgage industry, women who are tattoo artists, women who are photographers, women who are stylists, women who are in the legal industry, women in the field of medicine, women who are in law enforcement and women who are first responders, women who are entrepreneurs, and women who are creators! WOMEN ROCK!!
