We had the good fortune of connecting with Towana Davilmar and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Towana, what’s one piece of conventional advice that you disagree with?
“Do one thing and be really good at it.”
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
As a designer, artist, and a real estate agent professional, I bring a unique set of skills and expertise to the industry. I am passionate about finding the perfect residence or space for my clients and transforming it into something intentional and sustainable. My goal is to create spaces that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also sustainable for the mind, body, and soul.
Combining my background in architecture and design with my newfound knowledge of the real estate market sets me apart from others in the industry. I have a keen eye for detail, a strong sense of aesthetics, and a deep understanding of how design can impact the overall well-being of individuals.
While there have been minor challenges in carving out this special niche for myself, I am excited about the journey and the opportunity to help clients find spaces that truly resonate with them. I am committed to providing personalized service and going above and beyond to ensure that my clients’ needs are met.
Overall, my passion for design, artistry, and real estate drives me to create spaces that are not only beautiful but also sustainable and intentional. I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead and look forward to helping clients find their perfect space for the mind, body, and soul as the built environment is one of the most important aspect of our wellbeing.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
In the morning, I would definitely indulge in some breakfast at “Snooze” in Town and Country center in Memorial City. They’ve definitely got one of the best breakfast menu in town in my opinion. Do a little shopping while i’m in the area. Then we would head to the Menil Collection and the Rothko Chapel to immerse in the arts.
In the late afternoon, after eating one of the best pasta spot in Houston at “Impero”, we would go to Post Houston for its lively interior and rooftop garden/farm. And of course, as a designer, I love the fact that it is an adaptive reuse space. We would then admire the city views.
We could go to dinner at Juliet, or just enjoy a glass of wine at Stella’s Wine Bar.
To finish the night on some good vibe, definitely Clarkwood would be the spot for some good music and amazing cocktails.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate this to all my muti-creatives, and multipassionates. And of course, thanks to everyone who has provided me with support throughtout my journey, my significant other, sister, family and friends.
