We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandon Drake and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brandon, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
By educating and bringing people together through conversation and empathy.

Our goal is to bridge the gap of separation. As the late Rev. MLK Jr. preached, I am convinced that men hate each other because they fear each other. They fear each other because they don’t know each other, and they don’t know each other because they don’t communicate with each other, and they don’t communicate with each other because they are separated from each other.”

Everythang Culture explores backgrounds, beliefs, traditions, and overall cultures while sharing theirs. This platform intends to learn, entertain, and better understand one another. We invite guests on our platform to share their childhood, upbringing, beliefs, standards, and norms.

We have a segment called the Makings of You, where we interview guests individually. The makings of you is to learn about our guest on a personal level. We do so by asking a series of questions about the their childhood, upbringing, education, perspective in life, and other cultural interest.

We then have panel conversations about specific topics with our guests who have lived, learned, or had professional experience related to the topic.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My empathy, compassion, and ability to locate resources for others have set me apart. Having worked in child welfare, community outreach, and human resources, I have excelled at building success teams, positively affecting lives, and building the careers of others.

Through my personal experience of parental neglect as a child, my education in psychology at the University of Houston graduate, and my journey of working with a diverse community, I discovered we all have a story. Rather, it is a story of perseverance or grace.

I learned that finding a way through your obstacles by utilizing community and being utilized is the most effective way to progress.

I’ve mentored youth, young adults, and professionals. I’ve been an impactful resource in many lives, and I strive to continue the work that my Lord intends for me.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
In Houston, TX my favorite places are
Los Cucos Mexican Cafe – great drinks and food!
The Kemah Boardwalk on a day with great weather.
Five Central for a full Houston experience.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Jas Simone with @whereloveshines (youtube)

She is a young woman learning and walking the path of faith in this world. I admire her resiliency and empathy toward others and her elders.
