Meet Baylee LeBlanc | Mother, Owner & Director of Blossom Day School, and Sahaja Yoga Practitioner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Baylee LeBlanc and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Baylee, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Believe it or not, building my business has been a series of choices that involved risk. There has never been a guarantee that it would succeed. Countless internal and external factors influence the success of a business, and while we can do our research, study market trends, and prepare as best we can, there are no guarantees.
Taking risks is the only way I’ve been able to pursue my dreams and begin creating the life I want for myself and my daughter. While success is never promised, I’ve learned that growth rarely comes without uncertainty, and I’d rather take a chance on something meaningful than wonder “what if.”

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What I am most proud of is creating a place where children are truly known, loved, and given opportunities to learn through meaningful experiences. What sets Blossom Day School apart is our commitment to providing a warm, relationship-centered environment led by certified educators who understand child development and the importance of nurturing the whole child. We also believe that children thrive when they have opportunities to connect with nature, explore the outdoors, and engage in hands-on learning experiences that spark curiosity and creativity.
The journey has not been easy. Building a business has required me to step outside of my comfort zone, take risks, and trust the process even when there were no guarantees. Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve faced uncertainty, setbacks, and moments of doubt, but those challenges have taught me resilience and perseverance.
One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is that success is not built overnight, nor is it achieved alone. It requires patience, consistency, and the willingness to adapt and keep moving forward. I want people to know that Blossom Day School is more than a business—it’s a labor of love and a reflection of my belief that every child deserves a nurturing environment where they can flourish.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
That’s a hard one because we have such a culturally rich and vibrant city. Truth be told, though, I’m a beach girl at heart. If I had my way, we’d take a short drive to Crystal Beach, rent a cabin, soak up the sun, listen to the waves, and enjoy some fresh seafood while slowing down and recharging.
But if we had to stay in the city, I’d make sure we experienced some of the things that make this area special. We’d start with a paint-and-chat class for a creative girls’ night, then head to Pearl & Vine for a more upscale dinner and atmosphere. For lunch, we’d definitely stop by Tad’s Louisiana Cooking for some of the best crawfish and seafood bisque around. I’d also spend time exploring local boutiques in dowtown Katy/Richmond, grabbing coffee, and enjoying all the little hidden gems that make our community feel like home. To me, the best experiences are always the simple ones—good food, meaningful conversation, and making memories with the people you love.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are so many people who have made this journey possible. First and foremost, I am grateful to God for allowing me to embark on this journey and for faithfully providing for me every step of the way as I continued to walk in faith.
My dad played a tremendous role in making this dream a reality. He supported this venture in countless ways, but some of the most meaningful moments were the ones in which he simply gave his time. Whether it was assembling shelves, hanging wall hooks, or picking up and delivering a playhouse, I couldn’t have done it without his presence and support.
Along with my dad, so many friends and family members showed up to help prepare the building, assist with open house events, and even donate supplies and books to help us get started. I am deeply grateful to each and every one of them.
Lastly, I have to give credit to Sahaja Yoga Meditation. This practice has brought balance, clarity, and inner peace into my life and has given me the capacity and endurance to continue pouring into this venture. It has helped me navigate the challenges, uncertainties, and joys of building something meaningful.
Blossom Day School is more than just a business to me—it is the result of faith, hard work, sacrifice, and the love and support of an incredible community. I am humbled by how many people have helped make this dream possible, and I am excited to continue growing and serving the families who trust us with their children.
