We had the good fortune of connecting with Tamika Lamark and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tamika, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I’m originally from Houston, Texas, and my background has deeply influenced who I am today. Growing up in a vibrant and diverse community, I developed a strong sense of connection to the people around me and a deep appreciation for the importance of home and community. My upbringing in Houston, combined with my educational background in psychology, has given me a unique perspective on understanding people’s needs and desires, especially when it comes to finding the perfect home. This has fueled my passion for helping others navigate the real estate market, particularly in the Fort Bend County area, where I now specialize in helping clients find new construction homes.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is all about helping people find their perfect home, particularly new construction homes in the Fort Bend County area. What sets me apart from others is my deep-rooted commitment to understanding each client’s unique needs and my extensive knowledge of the local market. As a certified realtor & housing counselor, I bring a holistic approach to the home-buying process, ensuring my clients feel supported and informed every step of the way.
Getting to where I am today wasn’t easy. It took a lot of hard work, perseverance, and the ability to adapt to changing market conditions. One of the biggest challenges was building a client base in a competitive industry, but I overcame it by focusing on community outreach and building genuine relationships. My background in psychology also gave me an edge in understanding client motivations and needs, which has been invaluable.
I’ve learned that success in real estate isn’t just about closing deals; it’s about building trust, providing value, and making a positive impact on people’s lives. I’m most proud of the relationships I’ve built and the positive feedback from clients who feel that I truly care about their home-buying journey.
What I want the world to know about my brand and story is that I’m not just in this business to sell houses—I’m here to help First Time Homebuyers create LEGACY & WEALTH through homeownership. My passion for what I do drives me every day, and I’m excited about the opportunity to continue serving the Houston and Fort Bend County areas with dedication and integrity.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting, I’d take them on a week-long adventure through Houston and Fort Bend County. We’d explore the Museum District, enjoy seafood at Truluck’s, and hike at Brazos Bend State Park. A day trip to Galveston would include beach time and dinner at Gaido’s. We’d also visit Sugar Land for shopping and dining at Japaneiro’s, and catch a live performance in Houston’s Theater District. To wrap up, we’d relax at Discovery Green and have a final meal at Avenida Brazil Churrascaria Steakhouse. It would be a perfect mix of culture, nature, and great food!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to the incredible mentors and colleagues who have guided and supported me throughout my career. I also want to give credit to the clients I’ve had the privilege to work with—each experience has taught me something valuable and made me a better Realtor and housing counselor. Lastly, a big shoutout to my family for their unwavering support and encouragement along the way.
