We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicole Ketchum and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nicole, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
As long as God keeps giving you the gift of life each day is all the reason to not give up. Realizing that life is a gift, and once you open it and begin to appreciate the good out of it no matter what the situation may be then you will begin to experience true living.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

Currently, I work as a paralegal for a mid-sized firm. What sets me apart from others is that I don’t complain about things. I take every obstacle in life and look at it from a positive perspective, and I give thanks to God for everything. It was not easy getting to this point in life, having faced so many challenges, but I am grateful to God for allowing me to come out on the victorious side. I have overcome an opioid addiction, domestic violence, the murder of my daughter by my ex-boyfriend, depression, divorce, growing up without parents due to my mom dying when I was 11, molestation, and breast cancer. God has allowed me to write a book to inspire others about overcoming adversity in life and to let others know that there is hope because the Bible teaches us that all things work together for the good for those who love God (Romans 8:28). In life, we have to learn that every obstacle we face is not sent to harm us but to teach us. It’s up to us to get the lesson and pass the test.
