Meet Paul Ecal | Christian Artist & Singer-Songwriter
We had the good fortune of connecting with Paul Ecal and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Paul, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I pursued an artistic career because I have a passion for expressing ideas and emotions through creativity. It allows me to connect with others and explore different perspectives. Plus, creating something unique brings me immense joy!
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My official artist name is Paul Ecal and I’m a Singer-Songwriter and Musician based from Houston, TX. I specialize in the Christian/Gospel Genre. In addition, I am also the Co-Founder to Good News Studios TX, a small christian group of musicians dedicated to creating original great music and amazing film storytelling.
I am most proud of my latest work which is called “I Call On You” Trilogy. This unique trilogy is based on several true stories and it portrays a strong and powerful message of Faith, Hope, and Love. A lifelong project of mine which I hope helps anyone in their “Walk of Faith”.
The “I Call On You” Trilogy is also a beautiful arrangement which is sung in three languages. My first multilingual performance in my music discography.
Since my songs were launched, being a Christian Artist has always been a blessing and privilege nonetheless. The music industry is rapidly changing and I find that there will always be challenges along the way but it’s how you perceive them. Putting God first has given me an unbelievable amount of strength to finish each production and I thank Him everyday for that.
As of today, with the help of my local music and video production team as well as my fellow music producers from Brazil, I am able to share these stories.
Moreover, I would like to give my sincerest gratitude to Janderson Almeida Contaifer, a Grammy Award Music Producer, based from São Paulo, Brazil. Janderson is a well gifted man with many talents and trades. He has pushed me to excel my limits as a Christian Artist and I thank God for all that he has done in my work as a musician and storyteller.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting the city of Houston, I would have them visit two places: a notorious Brazilian Steakhouse called Churrascos and a highly acclaimed Venezuelan Restaurant, Pastel Gourmet.
Churrascos is more than just a restaurant; it’s a place where memories are made. Nestled in several cozy corners of the city, it captures the essence of warm gatherings and shared laughter. The aroma of grilled meats fills the air, inviting you to savor the rich flavors that define its unique culinary style.
On the other hand, Pastel Gourmet makes you reflect on your special moments there—perhaps family celebrations or afternoon talks with friends over delicious dishes. Each meal at Pastel Gourmet feels like a celebration, bringing people together around the table. It’s a reminder of the JOY of connection, making every visit a cherished experience and this is what truly makes the owners happy.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
If there is a person that I would like to recognize, that person is none other than my fellow Christian Artist and the main founder of Good News Studios – Texas, Robert “Tito” Rappaccioli.
Robert is the kind of friend who always puts others first. His humility shines through in every interaction; he never seeks the spotlight, preferring to lift up those around him instead. Whether it’s lending a listening ear or offering thoughtful advice, Robert is always there to support his friends without expecting anything in return. His genuine nature fosters trust and loyalty, making him a cherished brother in both good times and bad.
In my previous magazine features, I had mentioned about a good friend that once told me, “It’s about leaving a legacy behind. What’s yours?” – That good friend is Robert.
