Hi Salicia, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I wanted to create a Beauty School that felt more cozy rather than institutionalized. Where students feel welcomed
I wanted to create and environment where students are seen seen and heard and celebrated for their individual talents.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m a Beauty School owner and I always tell my students Beauty is an Art form, it has to be in you not on you. I appreciate all forms of art. My major was originally Art Science. My business is Beauty and Beauty is Art! God is the most amazing Artist.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My Aunt Nicole who is also a Houston Police Officer. She made Officer of the year in 2023. I’ve always looked up to her. She set the standard for success as a business owner and an officer. I’m thankful that she was a role model for me.
