Meet Ghazi Farrad

Ghazi, we are so thrilled to be connecting again and can’t wait to hear about all the amazing things you have been up to. Before we jump into all of that, some of our readers might have missed our prior interview, so can you take a moment to reintroduce yourself?
My stage name is FSG Rell. My actual name is Ghazi Farrad. My brand is work. Behind anything I do is a commitment to work and the commitment to never cheat any process I’m in. I started with making music and that evolved into writing books. What sets me apart is that I have 10 albums on all platforms with at least 15 videos out there for anyone new to my artistry. I have albums to last three years worth of listening for a new comer.

I got to where I am by enjoying my friends. Being able to make music and wrote books that my friends love is what keeps me going. The highlight of my journey is when a stranger appreciates the work I’ve put out there. My goal in life is to help as many people as I can. Whether with a laugh, a song to help through rough times, knowledge in a book or purely entertainment. I hope I’ve been a good role model to at least one person in the world. The thing about me is, is that I’m not afraid to
involve and to be honest if I made a mistake.

Alright, so our main goal today is to give our audience an update on what you have been up to since our last conversation. We’d love to hear how things are going and what you are most looking forward to or excited about these days.
For me things are going okay. It’s not the best right now but it can certainly be worse. The music climate we live in is tough for independent artists because it’s more about the wallet than the music. I put my all into the first few years of my music career and now I’m paying for it. I took a gamble, a bet on me and it didn’t work out. Not because of a lack of skill on my part but for the lack of resources. I thought my $200,000 would be enough but it wasn’t for a rookie who didn’t know where to put the funds probably and didn’t have the right connections. So at the peak of my powers I had to stop it all and make a mindset shift. It was very fun and I wouldn’t trade it for a thing. The music I’ve made is near and dear to my heart.

Now my mindset shift has been to go back to school and to publish all my books. I’ve written 50 and I’ve published 25. Once I get all my books formatted into audiobooks I believe my creative itch will be satisfied for a while.

What are you most excited about in the coming year?
I’m excited to see my kids grow up a little more. I’m excited to see my family have fun. I’m excited to start college. I’m excited for another year to make things work out the best way I can. Every year has their own challenges and I want to see if I can meet them.
