We had the good fortune of connecting with Solomon Peretz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Solomon, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When looking at other MSPs in the area I find so much struggle. Clients are struggling to get quality and timely support. MSPs are overloaded and overworked and struggling to address the needs of their customers in a timely and effective way. With my extensive experience in managing IT and Managed Services organizations in the past, it was clear to me what needed to be changed and how it needed to be managed in order provide the top tier support my customers want and need.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets Center Street I.T. apart from any other MSP is not only will you receive support from some of the most highly skilled IT Engineers, which is incredibly important, but we are also skilled at listening and truly understanding your needs and delivering solutions that helps our customers do what they do best. I also aim to be a single source provider for all of my customer’s technical needs including business internet and even cellular service! This simplifies the technology atmosphere for my clients, they can call on Center Street I.T. for anything they need and they know we will be able to help them get the best service possible.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We’d have to start by spending some time in Galveston. During the day we can visit Moody Gardens to look at their beautiful pyramids and exciting activities. In the evening we might visit the historic district or the strand for some great food and nightlife. In the evening we would retire to a house on the beach to enjoy some of the best sunrises there is. If weather permits we might even go out in the bay for some fishing. Space Center Houston is another must see spot a long with the fantastic museums in Downtown’s Museum district. Not only the Houston Museum of Natural Science but also the Museum of Fine Arts, the Menil and so many more. The Zoo is also fantastic and if timing is right I couldn’t let them leave without going to a Texans game. Lunch at Onion Creek would be a must. In the evenings when we’re downtown we’d have to visit some of the best restaurants such as the Palms and even though they are getting a bit trendy, Fogo de Chao. For downtown nightlife, main street is where it’s at.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to thank a long-time former manager, Anthony, for guiding me through much of my professional growth. It’s because of him I was able to experience how it was to manage a variety of teams at different levels to understand the needs of our customers and how we can best serve them in all aspects of the business.
