Meet Tabitha Dominguez

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tabitha Dominguez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tabitha, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I ultimately started my business because of the transformation I experienced when I began learning a true mind–body–soul approach during my time back in school. For years I worked in construction, but I always longed for work that allowed me to help, equip, and empower people in a deeper way.
I’ve been on my own emotional health journey for about seven years. Traditional talk therapy has been an important part of that, and I believe it’s incredibly valuable. But when I started learning about the full connection between the mind, body, and heart, something shifted for me. Through emotional health consulting, I began experiencing breakthroughs I hadn’t been able to access before, and I started moving through old patterns in a way that felt both compassionate and sustainable.
As I got more serious about starting my business, it became clear that I wanted to bring those same tools and insights to the people around me. My thought process was really: If this kind of holistic, nervous‑system‑informed work could create this much change in my own life, how could I not share it? That’s what ultimately led me to start a business where I could do exactly that.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My work centers around emotional health and the nervous system — helping people understand what’s happening inside them emotionally, regulate their nervous system, build emotional resilience, and move through life with more clarity, compassion, and confidence. What sets my work apart is the integrated approach I use. It’s not just mindset work and it’s not just emotional processing. It’s the full mind–body–heart connection. I help people understand why they feel the way they do, what their body is trying to communicate, and how to shift patterns in a way that feels sustainable rather than overwhelming.
I’m most proud of the moments when someone finally sinks into the truth that they’re not “too much,” not broken, not failing — they’re simply human, and their nervous system is doing its best to protect them. Watching people soften toward themselves and experience real change is the most meaningful part of what I do. I walk away from those sessions genuinely excited about what’s possible for them.
Getting to where I am today wasn’t easy, and it still has its ups and downs. I didn’t grow up imagining I’d start a business. I spent years in different fields — including seven years in construction — wondering if I would ever get to make the kind of difference I felt built for. I’ve walked through spiritual neglect and abuse, deep relational betrayal, depression, and seasons where I felt completely frozen. I may be a tough cookie, but I’m also human, and there were many nights I cried not knowing what to do next. And honestly, I still have moments like that.
My own emotional health journey — the breakthroughs, the setbacks, the slow unlearning — is what led me here. I had to face fear, self‑doubt, and the pressure to have everything figured out before I even began. What helped me keep going was staying connected to my “why,” surrounding myself with people who believed in me, and taking things one small, brave step at a time.
I still have days filled with fear. I still have days overflowing with joy. I still have days where I wonder if I’m going in the “right” direction or if I should just give up. Feeling a mix of emotions is part of being human, and I’m still human. I’m still messy. And I’m still learning.
Along the way, I’ve learned that growth rarely looks glamorous. It’s often slow, tender, and messy. I’ve learned that compassion is more powerful than pressure, and that people don’t need fixing — they need understanding, tools, and a safe place to land. I want my life and my business to be a beacon of hope for anyone who has walked through pain, confusion, or loss. We are still powerful, still capable, and still able to create the lives we long for. Our past doesn’t have to define us — it can become the bridge that carries us forward.
What I want the world to know about my brand and my story is this: I’ve walked through hell more than once, and because I’m human, I’ll face pain again. But we are not meant to do life alone. You are not wrong or weak for needing connection and support. My heart is to bring compassion, connection, and hope back into a world that often feels void of it. My business exists to help people feel more connected to themselves, more regulated in their bodies, and more empowered to live the life they actually want — not just the one they’re trying to survive.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oooh, great question! If my best friend came to visit for a week, I’d want to give them a mix of fun, rest, and really good connection. We’d definitely go wine tasting at Perrine Winery — my favorite local winery. I’d probably take them camping at Huntsville State Park too, and we’d spend a day hiking the trails and just being out in nature.
Food is honestly one of the best parts of any trip, so we’d hit some of my favorite local spots like Napa Flats and 1860 Italia (I love my pasta haha!). And of course we’d stop by my favorite coffee shop, Side Porch Coffee, where I’d have them try either their matcha or Shakerato.
Because I value deep connection, a “best time ever” for me also includes going deep — talking about life, fears, dreams, and everything in between while maybe taking a walk outside. And then balancing that with something fun, like board games (Skull King and Monopoly Deal are my current go‑tos in my game collection), putt‑putt golf at PopStroke, or a night of karaoke!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Love this so much. I really do believe it takes a village to raise a child — even when that “child” is an adult still figuring out who they are and how they fit in the world. There are so many people who have shaped me, encouraged me, and pushed me to pursue what I love.
I have to start with my very first support system: my parents, Wendi and Barry Lamphear. They’ve always believed in me, encouraged me to follow the things that light me up, and helped me see details and possibilities I couldn’t always see on my own. I wouldn’t be who I am today without them.
I also want to shout out my friends — all the ones who have walked with me through the highs and lows of life and through the ups and downs of building this business. Their presence, honesty, and encouragement have meant everything.
And when it comes to my emotional health work, I have to recognize the entire Stumvoll Consulting community. So many people there have poured into me over the years and taught me so much of what I now bring to my own clients. I would not have started this business without the path Abi & Justin opened and the wisdom they shared in that space.
