We had the good fortune of connecting with Linda Bucher and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Linda, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The idea came from a combination of necessity and opportunity. When my role was eliminated at my previous job, it felt like the right time to take a leap and pursue something I genuinely enjoy. I wanted to turn my skills and passion into something sustainable – and have the freedom to work for myself.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What we do is focused on creating products that feel personal, not mass-produced. Our goal isn’t just to sell items – we want to craft experiences, memories, and little moments that bring a smile to someone’s day. I see it all the time: when someone can tell a gift was made with them in mind, the thought behind it makes them feel truly valued. Being part of that is incredibly rewarding.

Every product we create is made-to-order with our customers in mind, using carefully sourced materials that balance quality and affordability.
In addition to serving individual customers, we also work with businesses on B2B orders, helping companies and small businesses create personalized products to recognize employees, strengthen client relationships, or celebrate special events.

Building a business doing what we love has been immensely enjoyable. We always love hearing from happy customers—it’s one of the things that makes this work so rewarding. Like any small business, we’ve run into challenges along the way, and navigating a competitive market is part of that – but we treat every challenge as an opportunity to grow. We continue improving our processes, expanding what we can offer, and staying committed to the quality our customers expect. I genuinely believe there’s room for everyone to thrive. Every day is a chance to make something better.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m not much of a social planner, but if a friend was visiting, I’d probably take them to Galveston for the beach, Schlitterbahn for some water park fun, and maybe Kemah Boardwalk. Houston has so much to offer – great restaurants, concerts, museums, the zoo – there’s really something for everyone. I’d let them pick what they’re most excited about and go from there. And of course, you can’t leave Houston without some Mexican food – because everyone needs chips and salsa!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’ve been really lucky to have my family’s support and patience, and of course none of this would be possible without our customers. Connecting with others in the industry has been an invaluable source of support and inspiration. It’s also been such a fun surprise to have Voyage Houston reach out and share our story!
