Meet Roxanne Edrington

We had the good fortune of connecting with Roxanne Edrington and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Roxanne, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success and the success of my brand is authenticity. I don’t just teach healthy aging, longevity, and wellness—I live it every day. My patients know that the strategies I recommend are the same ones I personally follow and have used throughout my own journey.
Over the past three decades, I’ve continued to challenge myself physically and mentally, whether that was competing in Ironman races, earning a professional figure card at age 50, competing on American Ninja Warrior at 51, becoming a world champion at 55, or now pursuing high-level CrossFit competition in my 60s.
I believe people are looking for more than information—they’re looking for proof that what’s being taught actually works. By modeling the behaviors, habits, and mindset I teach, I’ve built trust with my patients, and that trust has been one of the biggest drivers of my success.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
For more than 30 years, I have dedicated my career to helping people improve their health and quality of life. As a chiropractor, clinical nutritionist, and functional medicine practitioner, I’ve always believed that true health comes from addressing the root causes of illness rather than simply managing symptoms.
Over the years, my business has evolved as I continued to learn and better understand the challenges my patients face. Today, I am especially passionate about helping post-bariatric patients and adults over 40 uncover the root causes of weight gain, fatigue, and declining health so they can regain their energy, confidence, and quality of life. Through education, coaching, functional medicine testing, nutrition, and accountability, I help patients identify the hidden factors preventing them from achieving the health they deserve.
What sets me apart is that I don’t just teach these principles—I live them. I believe credibility comes from experience. Throughout my life, I’ve continually challenged myself to pursue goals that many people thought were unrealistic. From competing in Ironman races, earning a professional figure card at age 50, competing on American Ninja Warrior at 51, becoming a world champion at 55, and now competing in CrossFit in my 60s, I’ve made it my mission to demonstrate that age does not have to define what’s possible.
The path to building my business was not easy. Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve faced uncertainty, setbacks, self-doubt, and the constant need to adapt as healthcare and patient needs evolved. There were times when I questioned whether I was on the right path. There were moments when I felt exhausted and wondered if I should scale back my dreams. But every challenge taught me something valuable.
One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is that success is rarely about talent alone. It’s about persistence. It’s about continuing to show up when things are difficult. It’s about being willing to learn, grow, and reinvent yourself when necessary. Most importantly, it’s about staying connected to your purpose.
Another lesson I’ve learned is that people don’t need perfection—they need hope. My patients don’t connect with me because I have all the answers. They connect with me because they know I’ve faced challenges, setbacks, and obstacles of my own, and I continue to work through them just like they do.
What I want the world to know about me and my brand is simple: I believe it is never too late to improve your health, pursue a goal, or become a stronger version of yourself. I want people to understand that aging does not mean giving up. Whether someone is struggling with their weight, their energy, their confidence, or their health, I want them to know there is still a path forward.
My mission is not just to help people live longer. It’s to help them live stronger, healthier, and more fully engaged lives. If my story proves anything, I hope it shows that our best chapters don’t have to be behind us. No matter our age, our circumstances, or our setbacks, there is always another level of growth, health, and possibility ahead.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend came to visit for a week, I’d want them to experience the things that make Houston special while also getting a glimpse into the lifestyle I love.
The trip would definitely start with a workout. Anyone who knows me knows that movement is a big part of my life, so we’d start the day with a great workout at a ninja gym (IronSports) and then head out for a healthy breakfast and coffee.
During the week, I’d take them to some of my favorite restaurants, especially Houston’s incredible seafood scene. We’d spend time exploring the city, enjoying the parks and trails, and experiencing the diversity that makes Houston unique. One of my favorite things about Houston is that you can experience cultures, cuisines, and communities from all over the world without ever leaving the city.
Since I love challenging myself physically, we’d probably do something active and adventurous as well. Whether it’s a hike, a fitness event, or something completely outside their comfort zone, I believe some of life’s best memories come from shared experiences that push us to grow.
We’d also spend time near the water, enjoy a few beautiful sunsets, and make room for plenty of great conversations. At this stage of my life, I’ve learned that the people you’re with matter more than the places you go.
The most interesting people I know are those who continue learning, growing, and pursuing their passions regardless of age. Those are the people I gravitate toward and the communities I love being part of. Houston is full of entrepreneurs, athletes, healthcare professionals, and everyday people who are constantly reinventing themselves and proving that it’s never too late to pursue something new.
If someone spent a week with me, I’d want them to leave with more than just memories of Houston. I’d want them to leave inspired, energized, and reminded that life can still be an adventure at any age.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
If I had to dedicate my shoutout, it would be to several people and groups who have helped shape who I am today.
First, I would thank God. My faith has been the foundation that has carried me through challenges, setbacks, and seasons when the path forward wasn’t clear.
I would also thank my coach, Josh Salinas, and the Ninja Tribe community. They continually challenged me to see possibilities beyond the limits I placed on myself. There were many moments when I felt too tired, too discouraged, or even too old to pursue some of my goals, and they believed in me before I believed in myself.
My family deserves tremendous credit as well. Their support, encouragement, and willingness to stand beside me through every new adventure gave me the confidence to keep moving forward.
Finally, I would thank my patients. Many people assume that as a practitioner, I’m the one doing the teaching, but the truth is that my patients have taught me just as much. Their resilience, courage, and determination inspire me every day. In many ways, they have pushed me to continue learning, growing, and becoming a better version of myself.
Looking back, I realize that none of my accomplishments happened alone. Whenever I felt tired, uncertain, or questioned whether I could keep going, these people and communities believed in me, encouraged me, and helped me find the strength to take the next step.
