Meet Eddie Gonzalez | Producer, Writer & Actor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Eddie Gonzalez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Eddie, why did you pursue a creative career?
The art of writing is something that has been a true passion, and became a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My paternal grandfather was always writing; he had a lot of handwritten stories in tablets– so, the creative talent was a part of me because of him and became encouraged to express myself in that form from a very young age. To me, writing is the art of creating worlds under my spell. I enjoy starting from scratch every time I begin new material, world building and character development fully immerses me in the worlds that I am creating. Compelling and well-structured stories have kept me captivated, it empowers my growth as a writer, and thrives me to push that extra limit with my own work to give to others. Every time I get to share these worlds to others, may it be through theater, web-series, film, novel, it fills me with complete joy.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Anyone visiting our lovely city must come through the historic East End! This is where Grupo de Teatro Índigo started their journey. So, it holds a special place in our hearts, and we call it home. We encourage our visitors to make a stop at MECA East End to enjoy the Art Gallery or catch a show. Lunch at the Original Ninfa’s or El Tiempo Cantina after a stroll through Navigation Esplanade makes any Sunday great.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
