We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie Goshen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stephanie, what do you want people to remember about you?
my goal in life is to leave a legacy of love. I have been through a ton in my life that was not so easy and some that blows my mind. if i can leave something for others to remember me by it would be that I made people know without a shadow of a doubt that they are loved, beautiful, worthy, strong and completely capable! As a woman/mother/ hairstylist/makeup artist/life coach/and soon to be author I have made it my mission in life to be a light of hope for people who cant seem to see beyond their darkness. people cannot outperform how they see themselves and I have the privilege of not only changing what they see on the outside but helping the inside version at the same time. I hope they remember how I made them feel,

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I look at what I do as a divine appointment. every single woman that sits in my chair to get their hair or makeup or coaching done is there for a reason and a purpose. I don”t just do hair, there are a ton of hairstylist and makeup artists out there, I believe what sets me apart is that my clients aren’t just clients… they are my family. if it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t be able to feed my children. they are my life line. they make this profession fun and exciting and I treat them as such. nothing in life is easy.. but it is all in your perspective of how you look at things. i choose to look at everything I do as an opportunity to really show up, every appointment, every client, every time. that’s my motto. it isn’t easy to do because we all have off days but it gets easier when that inner paycheck starts to roll in. over the years you will be able to look back and see just how much you have went through with your clients. we have been through weddings, divorces, babies, death, cancer, but most of all we have created a bond. if I could give any advice of how to build a brand it would be to discover what sets you apart and go hard all the way and don’t stop. when doubt creeps in you gotta push it away and keep your eyes on the end game. what i want the world to know about my brand is that it is full of heart. the story of my brand is one of needing a place of refuge from the craziness in my own life. so why not create that space for others and not just in a brick and mortar building but on an emotional and mental and spiritual sense.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take my bestie and hit up all the fun places that we love to go to. a few of our favorite hang out spots are Prohibition in Old Town Spring, Snooze In The Woodlands, we love a great Whiskey and great food! we could totally hang out at wild stallion vineyards and listen to live music and chill out.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to recognize my daughters Alexia and Allison, my best friend Moana Yee as well as my entire group of Eden Reign Babes! these ladies have been my biggest supporters throughout my 21 year career. we have cried together, laughed together, joined forces to support one another and I wouldn’t be where I am without all of you!
