We had the good fortune of connecting with Lovesyncere and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lovesyncere, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Honestly, I do not see it as a career I see music as my own personal therapy session. It’s like a journal I can get a lot of things off my chest and out of my mind. I tell my brothers all the time if it turns into a career that’s fine, I just want to create a sound/vibe that connects with others and help them through whatever they maybe going through.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have been making music for almost 8 years now, there has been many ups and downs throughout the years. I started making music professionally probably around 22 but I have been around music all my life. I started an indie Christian rap label with a friend of mines called Vita Christi. A little after that I join a bigger label called Christ-Life Records, I really enjoyed my time there until we went our separate ways. At this point in my life I no longer believe in Christianity so after a spiritual and cultural awakening I started another Indie label called One-Third Media. One-Third means to be different and set apart, while genuinely being yourself. Though my music is still biblical related its more about my struggle with trust, love, depression, and how GOD has seen me through all these struggles. I am a versatile artist I can rap, sing, write, and mix and master all my music. Lastly, a lot of people ask me why the name Lovesyncere it is simple if you’re going to love someone let it be sincere and genuine.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m kind of a shoe collector and I love thrift shops, so I would probably take them to Petty Cash and all the other different thrift stores, Houston has to offer.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
THE MOST HIGH, my brothers and sisters in CHRIST, 12 tribes, and ONE THIRD
