Meet Yoseli Cruz | Creator of Queen Yoshii’s Designs

We had the good fortune of connecting with Yoseli Cruz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Yoseli, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I worked at a craft store at the time and when I was introduced to the idea of making shirts, I was shocked because i didn’t know people could make they’re own shirts. I then went ahead and bought myself a small machine and just tried it out and I loved it! I started making shirts for my boyfriend and his family and by word of mouth people found out I made shirts and they asked if I could make them birthday shirts, gender reveal shirts and etc. I received a lot of great feedback and just making people happy is what made me want to turn it into a business.Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I specialize in custom t-shirts, banners, decals, stickers, cups and so much more. What sets me apart from others is my dedication and passion for making items. I enjoy making things that will bring happiness to people. One small item can make someone’s day and that’s what I love to see. It wasn’t easy starting off my business because I had a full time job and I couldn’t dedicate all my time to it but I just recently decided to make this full time and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve learned that sometimes you have to take a risk and do what makes you happy because at the end of the day that’s what matters. I’d want everyone to know that I appreciate all my customers and supporters. From orders people place ahead of time to last minute orders, I will always try my best and go out of my way to fulfill them, I enjoy every single order.Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them to Chili’s, which is my favorite place to eat. Then, we would go to Topgolf and even though I’m not the best at golf I always have a good time with my friends so I would definitely go there. Discovery green is also a good place to walk around and they always have fun activities you can join or even hang out. Bingo wonderland in Spring is always fun as well, I’ve never won but something about it makes it fun whether you win or not.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to thank my previous boss for helping me start off my business with tips, my parents for always supporting me and last but definitely not least, my amazing boyfriend for being there since day one and encouraging me to expand my business with new ideas and helping me grow. Also, my amazing customers, I wouldn’t be were I am without them and I appreciate every person that orders and recommends me to they’re friends and family.
