We had the good fortune of connecting with Ali Attar and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ali, what is the most important factor behind your success?
In short, I can say we stuck to our beliefs, the art and the heritage, and the approach that many advised against, even though we appreciated and understood the modern ways and the consistent change in the market. I didn’t play the game; instead, we tried to rewrite the rules
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Please tell us more about your art. My art is Possibly the oldest in the world since the first man smelled a flower and thought this is beautiful. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, What sets us apart from others is the approach, we don’t see this as just a business, but we see it as a lifestyle. We live it, we believe it, and we manifest it. if I have to say one thing that set apart from other master perfumists, it would be exclusivity what you are most proud of or excited about. when a person who has tried my oils or work for the first time saying that this experience changed their life and the way they look at things How did you get to where you are today professionally. I kept doing what I like and always tried to be a better person than the person I was yesterday. I didn’t look at people to worry about their work. Was it easy? If you love anything truly, it will not only be easy, but it will be pleasant to do it. If I have to choose any work or carrier in the world, I will choose to be a perfumist again and again. If not, how did you overcome the challenges? there were many challenges if one address them with logic, acceptance, and strength, they will soon all disappear What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way? Be true to yourself, be unique, and believe. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story? We love what we do, and we like to see ourselves as the keepers and guardians of ancient art that is on the verge of getting lost. We do everything the way it was done hundreds of years ago. When only a few people could afford to wear perfume. We still do it as if it’s the middle of the triangle, where art, scient, and alchemy meets.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I think it would depend on the friend, my favorite places are museums, symphony halls, small coffee shops, and high-end restaurants where you can see and taste the flavors of the food and experience new things. Luckily Houston is full of great places.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My first thank you always goes to our clients, the most loyal and most supportive people that without them, none of this would be possible. The second thank you goes to my mentors and family, the people who loved this as a life passion, the people who taught me the art and secrets not because they wanted any gain instead, they wanted more people to understand and appreciate all the beauty around us and especially the art of authentic Attar making My third thank you goes to all the writers and authors I have read their book, every one of them.
