We had the good fortune of connecting with Jennifer Sebasigari and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jennifer, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
What inspires me is my humble beginnings. Being from a third world country, living in a refugee camp at such a young age, inspires me to keep going. Jesus Christ inspires me to become the best version of myself everyday and to impact the world.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a culinary chef by profession, I attended one of the best culinary institutes in the world, Le Cordon Blue. I started cooking at the age of 8, I was in the refugee camp in Cameroon Langi but I developed my cooking talent a year early when my mom sewed a couple bratz dolls for me and I used tomato cans as a pot, made fire with charcoal and cooked a meal for my dolls. What sets me apart from others is my creative mind and willingness to grow by self education. I am so proud and excited about the opportunities I have to make a difference in others lives, 20 years ago I was a refugee living in a tante in Cameroon Langi praying so God could grant me a better future. Today I’m starting a family non profit organization named Sebas foundation. Our mission is to give back to the community and to work closely with refugees all over the world by distributing food and essentials items in refugee camps. God is the reason I am here today. Consistency ,hard work, dedication, and discipline are some of the keys to my success. My road to success has not been easy. Many times I had to rebrand myself and my company, continue to implement systems that allowed me to get to the next level. Success is never easy, it is a mindset. You have to master your mind by self educating, exercising your physical body, connecting with God. Your thoughts are the only power that can produce success in the form of substance. Think truth regardless of appearance and these are rules I go by in my daily life. I overcame a lot of my challenges but listening to my mentors and learning from other people’s mistakes. I dedicate time to spend with my mentors either online or in person. I listen to what they tell me and imply it into my business and my life. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is to be open minded, plan, write everything, be disciplined, apply pressure, work smart, apply the law of gratitude, surround yourself with the best and you will become the best, always use value than cash value, draw an eye to God and he will draw one to you, must have faith that is already yours, behind the clear vision you have to bring it into tangible expression to bring it to life. I want the world to know that Jennyonthe365 is getting bigger than ever, Sebas Foundation will be changing people’s lives worldwide. We’re adding a lot more services to our company such as restaurant and culinary consulting and we’re working on getting our services globally as well. I’m a young woman from a third world country Congo, I’ve overcome so many obstacles and here I am today living for a greater purpose. If I can do it you can too.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
