We had the good fortune of connecting with Demetrius Hines and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Demetrius, what do you attribute your success to?
Willpower and just grinding for what you believe in, Success is what you make it really. I do believe if someone wants it bad they’ll fight to obtain it.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I really feel like I haven’t tapped into my full potential when it comes to my art, my imagination is so spread out right now. I think that’s is what makes all creatives so different and sets us apart from one another we’ are all connected in some way but everyone has their own vision. And psshh professional? I’m still perfecting my craft even with me being 6 years in. As I said before being a creative is not easy as everyone expects. Preparation and hard work plus a list of things that a photographer needs to keep afloat. I worked hard to where I am now and I’m not close to where I want to be, I eventually would want the world to see my vision without question.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If anyone knows me the first spot we going is right here in Katy and that is Wing Wild Cafe!, Some of the best wings hands down. I would probably show some of the places that I have shot of to get an idea of where to shoot at next. As far as night life I don’t think you could never go wrong with a BLACKOUT @ Boondocks or an Open Source party(If you know you know) Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Well first and foremost I’m giving credit to God because without him I would be nowhere. I would also send shoutout to my family and friends that stuck by me when i doubted myself. And last but certainly not least all the artist and creatives that bust their butts trying promote their art to the world.
