We had the good fortune of connecting with Amber Chauntal and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amber, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process of my business stem from my long years of working in retail and fashion. I had an extreme passion for fashion since high school, I knew that was the path that I wanted to take in life. I started at 16 working on clothing boutiques and actually worked my way up to be a store manager of a retail location. I learned all the ins and outs of customer service and honestly running a business at store level. Over seeing employee and making important choices for that business. I soon realized this is something I knew I could do. I then pursued research and opened my own online clothing boutique.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I know that the field I’m in is very saturated but what career isn’t? I feel what sets me different from others is that I’m genuinely passionate about what I do, and take pride in my background of retail and customer service. I want to make sure I give my customers an amazing experience even if it’s via internet. You can show other how much you care just by the way you handle your business. I enjoy sharing my passion with others and essentially helping others wit their fashion journey while offering affordable clothing options.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love a good hang out moment or a good eat! I would always recommend everyone to the galleria area, but I love seafood so I would definitely recommend Krab Queenz or if you are looking for a good turn up Atomic Bottle is the hit spot right now for a good eat and turn up!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mom and sister have been a key role in my success story, but most importantly my sister. Lakeita Valon, she is my right hand. She is very understanding and has always motivated me to go after my dreams. I can’t thank my Instagram followers and local friends who have supported, shared, like or even exposed my business! All of this has helped me grow my business!
