We had the good fortune of connecting with Adriana Garrido and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Adriana, what is the most important factor behind your success?
If I had to pick between one important factor I couldn’t because there’s so many factors that have made my business what it is today. My business success would have to be its uniqueness and WOW factor that is achieved when gifting my product. Also not to mention the countless hours I spend on social media to built my platform. Since day one I promoted my business none stop, of course first to my family members, close friends, and definitely always getting feedback and reviews back on how to improve. The Berry Fab is not only known locally but around the world with other treat makers and bakers which brings me joy because not everyone can say that they influenced someone from Ecuador and London. Furthermore, my English and Spanish has definitely influenced a lot on all the clients and audience I’m able to reach. Yet, the most important factor of all is my family’s support because at the end of the day they are my team and my clients are what makes The Berry Fab.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
For those that don’t know me fully i have a business and managing background. I used to be a manager for a corporate chain and fortunately I got to manage many restaurants around the Houston district. Definitely learned a lot in that journey it molded me into the person I’am today. Starting so young as manager back then wasn’t easy but it definitely was worth it, because now I get to bring those skills into my business. What sets my work apart from other berry makers is my way of making things. I do not like rushing on my orders I take my time on each one of them because every box is unique it’s been gifted to someone special for a reason. Also I never send out work that I wouldn’t buy myself for another person, and trust me Im picky. I’m definitely excited to see all the big accomplishments I hope to make in the future. I have many ideas in the works already but I will not announce it yet since it’s not done.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

These are some of my favorite places whats great about them is that they are mainly all small businesses but with amazing food and drinks.

The one person that has supported me from the beginning of this journey and the one that still does is my charming husband. He was my worst critique but because of what he would tell me I was able to improve my skills tremendously. Plus, he is also my taste tester, so it’s definitely a win win situation.
