We had the good fortune of connecting with Marina Caradanian and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Marina, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I’ve always been into health, fitness & beauty. As a mom of 2, I have always understood that taking care of myself first will allow me to be a healthy, happy and energetic mom and wife. I want to help men and women feel their absolute best. With that said, I have opened a wellness center to the encourage and help anyone looking to better themselves from the inside out.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I began in the beauty industry as an assistant to my sister, who was a well known makeup artist in the industry. Throughout the years, I began my own line of artistry and have become successful throughout the past decade. There were definitely challenges because the industry became saturated and competitive, but my customers have been loyal and word of mouth has been my best advertisement. I believe customer service is your best form of building a reputation. I love working with customers and have transformed my services to beyond just beauty. Building a business in health and beauty only made sense for me, as someone whose learned success is all about the customer service experience.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
LA has so much to offer! I would definitely take them to Disneyland, San Diego zoo and Vegas! These are spots people from all over the world come to visit. In between, visiting some of the hottest spots in LA (it is constantly changing) but right now I would say Wallys (it’s the only place open late and you can wine & cheese all night!) and probably Craig’s which is full of celebrities 😉

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My younger sister, Lilit Caradanian, is an influencer and a entrepreneur who has taken her love, passion and skills in beauty and made a career for herself. She encouraged me to become a makeup artist a decade ago and has supported me throughout the years. She has inspired me to take what I love (beauty & health) and also build a career out of it.
