We had the good fortune of connecting with Scarlet Rodriguez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Scarlet, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
It first started out as more of a hobby. I thought to my self how can I get kids outside and active during quarantine. I started working with a few different families and “Coach Scar” started then, in March of 2020.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business consist of many coaching opportunities for all ages. I offer private one on one basketball training sessions to children in the Houston area, along with youth group classes at District H Strength & Fitness. Health & life coaching programs are available to adults looking to get back into healthier habits and mindset coaching. I have recently added another service under my umbrella for small business owners in need of social media + branding coaching.

Helping others and watching growth happen in front of me gets me fired up about my business. Whether that’s youth athletes, adults, or small businesses, I love to help my clients feel great. I genuinely love helping others strive for their absolute best.

I got where I am today because of passion for others, hard work, drive and the ability to remain coachable. It has not been an easy road, but have a great support system that guides me by giving feedback, constructive criticism, and advice from experience.

I have learned to surround my self with like minded people who have similar goals and want more for their life.

I want the world to know, I am tiny, but fierce!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
What a fun question! I would plan for us to go hiking, to the spa, a beach day, try yummy restaurants and explore new places.

“Fun” to me is spending time with loved ones, being with my cats, and traveling.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I defiantly want to shoutout my mentors and coaches for guiding me along the way. Without the people behind me my brand would be nothing. I have put in the hard work, but also remained coachable to get to where I am today.

I’d like to give a big thank you to Jenny Sanchez, Kise’ Zettel, Tommy Allen & Jessi Porras. And of course my family, friends and my supportive partner, Charlie Bunteen.

Special shoutout to my mom and dad, Charlie & Debbie Rodriguez. I love you both very much. Thank you for always believing in me.
