We had the good fortune of connecting with Sarah Guerra and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sarah, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
It was all just an idea in my mind that became conversation with my friends. I contemplated on it for maybe 6 to 8 months. Shortly after thinking about it I had mentioned it to someone and later on down the line that someone came and presented my idea back to me but this time with a plan of action on how to move forward with getting it done.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I actually have several things that I’m endeavored in. I am known as The Diamond Girl , at Johnny Dang & Co. going on 3 years there in January. The newest is PGS, É Vida Agency, a talent booking for aspiring models. and I am involved with a number of other organizations that I help with such as The Lyric Chanel Foundation, and I AM ISAAC. Out of all the good things I have going , the one I’m most excited about & proud of, can not be disclosed due to the nature of it still being a work in progress. However, aside from that, being known as the FIRST OFFICIAL Diamond Girl at Johnnys, has been a pretty dope time in my life. I’ve met celebs I would of never imagined meeting , working with them and all that. I remember when I wanted to work for Johnny Dang and I prayed that if it was for me, for God to make it happen. It took some time, patience, until I was actually hired but well worth it. I learned you have to be consistent, I was sending Johnny follow up texts at least once a week. I was working 2 jobs before I was put on there, I was homeless, suffered slight depression due to my kids having to live with their dad for the time being. It was definitely a challenging time in my life – then when I started my journey there at Johnnys – is when things started to ease up, I could breath and be happy for all my endurance. I want the world to know that all the foundations to what I have now , was all built off my trust in God. I sacrificed, supplicated, and received all that I imagined or better. I want people to know , what is ordained for you, can not be taken from you. You may get lost along the way, like I was, but with focus , hard work, and faith, you’ll end up where you’re destined to.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First we would have to eat some of the best VEGAN places in town, either Soul Food Vegan, Korny Vibes or one of my favorite Mediterranean places, Dimassi’s. For coffee, we would have to make a stop at Grinders or Amsterdam Company, they’re CBD coffee shops and I love the Honey lavender coffee, hot.

Of course we would have to make a stop at the famous, Johnny Dang & Co. It’s a big tourist staple in the city. We’ll also stop by some of the cities sites, such as the 59 bridge, Discovery Green, and the water wall. For night life , we would probably hit one of the newest spots, Atomic Bottle , or I’ll hit my friend to see if Space is the move. There’s too many clubs to choose from lol.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First in foremost, shout out to God. My Trust in what was laid out for me is what led me to making PGS a reality. I was given The tools, resources, ability, etc. to get where I am today. One of the day 1 supporters, Kevin Davis aka KD, is the guy who believed in my idea and was in the same industry so we worked together on getting PGS jumpstarted. I was given the chance to create & own my own cannabis brand, I was too excited. Of course I have several close friends; DWill , Autumn, Kylea , Makira, & several more who support my brand. Whether it’s us working together on media, or they’re buying my drip and staying down for the come up, I genuinely appreciate their good graces. God has allowed me to have some great ones on my journey.
